Financial Assistance Available
Greater St. Louis Area Scouting believes every child should have the opportunity to experience Scouting, regardless of financial circumstances. To help make Scouting affordable, the council offers "Scout Scholarships" for families who qualify.
What assistance is available?
Scout Scholarships may cover up to 76% of the $85 national annual registration fee for eligible youth who demonstrate financial need.
How do I apply?
Families can complete the Scout Scholarship Form, which asks for:
Scout and parent/guardian information
Household income information
Number of youth in the household
Unit information (Pack, Troop, or Crew)
A brief explanation of the need for assistance
Requirements
Participation in unit fundraising efforts, including popcorn, is preferred when considering financial assistance.
Applications must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian.
Applications are reviewed and approved through the local Scouting leadership process.
